No ricotta, lots of mozzarella on top, none in layers. Sauce is moderately spicy, but SWEET as candy - shit ton of sugar in this. Kosher. Sweet enough that it gives my diabetes a boner.

Umpqua Oats

Kick Start - rich with seed, very nutty flavor, oats not too refined so they were toothy and very good. Not too sweet, but enough to take the bland edge off

Mostly Sunny - cranberries, raisins, apples, evap cane juice, cinnamon. hearty, good body, chewy, satisfying.

Old School - lots of apples, some raisins, cranberries, cinnamon, pumpkin seeds for chrissake. Not sweet at all but pleasant, chewy, really good.

I hate plain oatmeal but I could eat this shit every day.

Gordons Chesapeake Classics

Clam chowder - thin and milky the way I like it. Tons of clams, good dose of potatoes. Very deep clam flavor, probably the most clammy of any of the chowders I've had. Needed some black pepper. 8+

Brunswick flavored sardines

Soybean oil with hot peppers - 5 big sardines, tender, no scales. Mild heat but spicy, with chopped hot green chilis still in the oil. Very good

Tomato & basil sauce - 3 big sardines, tomato sauce a bit oily but pretty good flavor, with tomato, prominent basil and trace of other herbs. Surprisingly tasty.

Mustard & Dill sauce - 4 medium sardines, thick mustard sauce, mild on the mustard, heavy on the dill. Objectively, I will approve of these while personally not enjoying them because of the dill, which I do not enjoy.

trader joe clam chowder

Nice clam flavor, not too thick, creamy, good amt of clams & potatoes, severely underseasoned, needed lots of salt ad some black pepper to give it some life. Better than average, worse than a few.

Gator burger

At yankee boy, soft texture, v spicy, v salty, more filler than gator. M: for all I know I could be eating bread crumbs.

Roo: fine ly grained, a but gamey, overtones of liver, way overcooked.

Vanilla java porter, good body, pours a decent but short lived head. caramel nose, vanilla/coffee flavors with a good dose of hops and slight malty finish.

carr's salt and pepper flatbread - hey remember when flatbread was the CRACKER OF ALL DESIRE a few years ago but then everyone realized that it kind of just tasted like matzoh except a lot more expensive?

this is like matzoh with cracked black pepper in it, good for moving cheese or pate into your mouth and adding some crunch but it still tastes basically like cardboard, there are so many other more flavorful cracker options out there that this just doesn't do it.

Alexian duck liver mousse with cognac - buttery smooth. Mild duck liver flavor, pronounced cognac notes gave a rich depth to flavor. duck liver, pork, mushrooms, spices, cognac. Simple, creamy, and decadent.

Note about company, very ethical, silliness of no foie gras policy, lower-impact packaging.

3 layers of pasta, not green spinach pasta as shown on box, regular stuff

made in germany - do the germans know anything about laz they seem to be faking it here

McDonalds baked stuff

Banana Bread: Dark, very moist. Nice blend of spices with a good banana-flavor background. Not as good as homemade, but very, very close. (Jamie's is still better.)

Whole grain berry muffin:  Dohn't look for gigantic muffins, these are small, much more like the ones you would back in a standard cupcake tin. Top is scattered with oatmeal and other grains.
Blueberries and cranberries inside (whole, not chopped) & generous. Muffin top is a little tough prob because of grains. Very good flavor, moist, slight crunch from grains. Berries in every bite. Like.

Cheese danish: Flaky, buttery pasty with slightly sweetened cheese filling. Really quite good.

Blueberry muffin - a bit dryer than the whole grain. Muffin top is very nice with brown sugar crumbles. Berries in every bite. Small, like homemade.

Vanilla bean scones - samll scones topped with a pour of confectioner's icing, vanilla bean flecks evident all through icing and pastry. Delicious, they melt in your mouth. I would be just as happy with these if they had no icing, though.

Dale Jr Food

Cheeseburger - really nasty orange goop cheese. Burger is kind of grey & crumbly, prob because of hydrolyzed soy protein filler/seasoning, moist but not greasy, tastes very much like beef bouillon but not a lot like beef. Pickles are truly bizarre, like discs of unchewable pickle-flavored plastic. With the ketchup & mustard, however, the overall effect is very cheeseburgerish only saltier.

Double Dog Dare - Cheapest available skinless franks made mostly of mech sep chicken, like big vienna sausages but which have somehow developed a skin. Grainy beef-and-TVP chili on top with a decent flavor and slight spiciness with effectively shuts out the nasty hot dog flavor. Mustard is extraneous, adds nothing to the flavor & actually fights against the chili. Suprisingly decent even if it does look like it came out of a diaper.
